The Steinberg story (part 2)...

Earlier this year, in part one of this story, we told you how Matt Steinberg of the USA asked us to play a surprise rendition of "Happy Birthday" for his wife Amanda.  About a month ago (I Know!  Web administrator has been really busy!) Steven received an email with some really good news from Matt.

Quoting Matt..

"Back in January the band was nice enough to serenade my wife with Happy Birthday during Up Helly Aa parade. It was a truly amazing experience and one she stills talks about it to this day. You currently have
our story on your website and I just wanted to add a little update. While on our way to Scotland, my wife found out that we were pregnant. We used our time there to reflect on our newly discovered parenthood and the changes our lives would be going through in the future."

"We both love Scotland and one day wish to be there, we feel the Highlands and Islands represent the lifestyle and values we want for our son. Anyway, my wife recently gave birth and Samuel Cuillin Steinberg has been welcomed to the world. He is named after the Cuillin Range on Skye, a ridge I hope to one day climb with him on one of our subsequent trips back. We would like to thank you and the band again for your gesture in January, and we hope to make Up Helly Aa a family tradition for years to come."

Matthew, Amanda, and Samuel Cuillin Steinberg.
