RNMDSF Centenary

Church Parade.  Meet at Fort Charlotte at 10.00am.  At 10.30am we lead the parade of uniformed organisations from the Fort down to Harbour Street, along the esplanade and up Church Road to the Church of Scotland.  After the service the Brass Band lead the parade from the kirk to Victoria Pier.  After a hymn, official groups board boats for laying wreath at Sea Service.

Gala Parade.  Meet at Aith School at 1.30pm.

British Legion Parade for 25th Anniversary of the Falklands Campaign.  Meet at Fort Charlotte at 10.15am.  At 10.40am we lead the parade to the war memorial for a short service.  After this service, march along Upper Hillhead, back along Lower Hillhead past the Saluting Dias, up Town Hall brae and back to the Fort where refreshments will be served.

Music on the Pier.  Meet on Victoria Pier at 6.15pm.  Play for half an hour.

Meet at Gilbertson Park at 1.45pm and lead the parade of Jarl Squads from Gilbertson Park to market Cross.

Meet at Islesburgh at 5.45pm.  Lead the carnival procession from Lower Hillhead to The Esplanade.

A.G.M. to be held at Lerwick British Legion, All welcome.

A Full practice will be held at Islesburgh Community Centre to go over all tunes for Up Helly Aa.  Soup and Sandwiches will be served.  Practice will probably finish about 9.30pm.

Parade Marches off from Shetland Hotel via DITT,   Bolts, Legion and onto the Bressay Slip

Parade with Junior Jarl, from Post Office to Viking Bus Station.

Meet up at the Legion to tune up for night procession

Depart the Legion with KCPB, Brass Band and the Jarl Squad for the evening parade

Bands to join the Jarl Sqaud into the Burning Park and play tunes while the galley is burning.  Bands will then escort the Jarl Squad back to the Legion

Pipe Band members have been invited to a 'Bop' at the T.A.Hall.
